Backcountry Communities Thriving strengthens Julian and surrounding rural communities through direct support, advocacy, workshops and local partnerships. Its Backcountry Connections center offers a free pantry open to residents, PCT hikers and visitors, plus community information, a thrift shop and consignment space for local makers. The organization also supports regional mobile food distributions.
