Hunter's Nursery

Minutes from downtown, Hunter's Nursery is the oldest continuously family-owned nursery in San Diego. Founder Howard Hunter opened a citrus orchard and nursery in Lemon Grove in 1919 after retiring as a railroad fireman/engineer. His wife Betty was central to the business for over 70 years after marrying into the family in 1941. Today, Hunter's Nursery continues the tradition of providing quality plants and products for home gardeners and landscape professionals.
